The application forms are available with DSWO/TSWO free of cost. The applicant has to complete the application form and enclose proof regarding age, income, status and address. Complete case is to be submitted to the concerned Tehsil Social Welfare officer against proper receipt. The concerned Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) consolidates the list of eligible applicants under the scheme and forwards it to the concerned District Social Welfare Officer for arrangement of funds and accord of sanction by a designated District level Sanctioning Committee headed by Director Social Welfare Department, UT Ladakh. |

Description of the Scheme |

Description of the Scheme |
National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) provides one-time lump sum cash assistance of Rs. 20,000 to families living below poverty line on the death of the primary bread-earner between the age group of 18-59. The objective of the scheme is to ensure social security of the households living below poverty line. The payment is to be made to the widow or the un-married daughter of the family. |

Complete case is to be submitted to the concerned TSWO who consolidates the lists and forwards to Block Level Sanctioning Committee. The cases are then submitted to DSWO for accord of sanction by District level sanctioning committee headed by Director Social welfare Department, UT Ladakh. |

Integrated Social Security Scheme (IGSSS):- This is a State sponsored scheme under which financial assistance was provided to the old age person, widow, women in distress and physically challenged person. The scheme is funded through State Plan/Non-Plan on the basis of: sharing pattern. The scheme has following components:-

Under this scheme pension is provided to old aged persons males (60 years & above) and females (55 and above) and who are destitute in the sense of having no means of subsistence from their own source of income or through financial support from family members or other sources. |
